My own understanding in MDG

In my own understanding in the Millennium Development Goals is that they are trying to end the poverty and hunger in the world. Many of the people do not eat three times a day, have no proper clothings, and have no shelters. Most of the people specially the infants and children are malnourished, they lack nutrition because of having problems about money, specially those parents who don't have jobs. The Millennium Development Goal is looking ahead to 2015 and beyond, there is no question that we can achieve the overarching goal, we can put an end to poverty. In almost all instances, experience has demonstrated the validity of earlier agreements on the way forward, in other words, we know what to do. But it requires an unswerving, collective, long-term effort.

In my own definition, the development base on the goal sets targets for reductions in poverty, improvements in health and education and protection of the environment. Each year, the UN Secretary-General presents a report to the United Nations General Assembly on progress achieved towards implementing the Declaration, based on data on the 48 selected indicators, aggregated at global and regional levels. It also indicates that the development is trying to change the problems of each of us that's why their setting this goals.
